About Normand: This is my Dad. He had a hard life. He was the second born and his parents (especially my Grandfather and his mother) treated the first born with every preference. My Dad got blamed for his brothers actions, he was told he wasn't good enough, etc. He married my Mom when he was 19, I was born 9 months later. He treated me like his princess early on, but something changed. He was hurt on the job and turned to alcohol to cope. He and I butted heads a lot as I saw him as hurting my Mom by his drinking. But as I got older and experienced life myself, I saw that it wasn't truly his fault. He had negativity stacked against him from the start. I miss him now and I pray for him often. I hope that he at least made it to purgatory as he blamed one of our parish priests for wrongs against our family and stopped going to Mass. My greatest wish is that he is finally at peace in heaven! Next March 6th will make 20 years since we lost him... more... less...
