Private Revelation on Purgatory:

Prayer and Sacrifice for the Holy Souls also helps our soul receive help from the Holy souls who can pray for us while we are alive. We also receive merit, grace and mercy from God for helping the Holy Souls. This greatly pleases God. The Saints said doing this atones for a multitude of our own sins and these blessed souls will not neglect to obtain for us the grace of eternal life. The Holy Souls cannot pray for themselves or lessen their own punishments. That is why they need us.

According to private revelation, “One soul needed 107 communions to be delivered into Heaven”. In another story, a Priest in purgatory needed 7 Masses to be offered to be delivered into Heaven.

9th Promise of Holy Rosary from Our Lady: I shall deliver from purgatory those who have been devoted to the Rosary.
